“PLEASE, PLEASE, BABY LEMONADE…”

Spray paint with acrylic outlines on 3rd St. & Roosevelt, Phoenix, AZ. The wall is located within the courtyard of the recently established Scratch French Cafe/Bakery and Vietnamese restaurant. I was one of several artists that were selected to paint walls curated by Cole Reed of Green Haus.

It’s a bike themed courtyard, so I decided to depict animals running with road bikes. I painted animals that once existed in the area but due to years of development were pushed to the outskirts of the city. It’s a psychedelic journey with desert animals.

Almost Anything In Return

I have leftover paintings from a collection of canvases that traveled around downtown Phoenix for the past few months. Others were sold or traded, these are the remaining paintings. Next month, they may help fill up space at a pop-up gallery located within the Roosevelt Row Art District. Unsold paintings are usually recycled for future art shows or commissions. No reason to keep unsold goods if they are going to be taking up space in my home.

If you’re interested in purchasing one of the paintings or have a commission request…  email me at theallelectrickitchen@hotmail.com

“Candid Moments In The Third World” Acrylic & Spray Paint on Canvas. 2013. $62.00 SOLD

“Night fell. Even the darkness was different. I ran looking for Ayl, emitting cries without rhyme or reason, to express what I saw: “The stars are yellow, Ayl! Ayl!” I didn’t find her that night or the days and nights that followed. All around, the world poured out colors, constantly new, pink clouds gathered in violet cumuli which unleashed gilded lightning; after the storms long rainbows announced hues that still hadn’t been seen, in all possible combinations. And chlorophyll was already beginning its progress: mosses and ferns grew green in the valleys where torrents ran. This was finally the setting worthy of Ayl’s beauty; but she wasn’t there! And without her all this varicolored sumptuousness seemed useless to me, wasted.” -Italo Calvino

“I lied. “No, no. It was just a passing change of light. Like that time with the meteorite! It’s over now. Everything is the way it used to be. Come, don’t be afraid …” If she comes out, I thought, after the first moment of bewilderment, she’ll become used to the colors, she’ll be happy, and she’ll understand that I lied for her own good.” -Italo Calvino

“LOS TRES GRANDES” MURAL - 2013

In the wake of creativity that surrounds the Barrio Café, the “Los Tres Grandes” mural took shape within the last days of 2012. I arrived the second day of the collaborative mural project. ENUF, whom was the coordinator, asked me to depict Frida Kahlo with spray paint. I accepted the challenge and ended up working on the top purple portion of the wall. I painted above the letters of DUROK and the flowers of Ser V One.

*Photos by Niba Decastillo, PHX TACO Contributor.

“Los Angeles-based artist Francisco “Enuf” Garcia spent some time in Phoenix recently organizing “Los Tres Grandes”, a collaborative mural that pays tribute to the great Mexican muralists David Siqueiros, Diego Rivera, and Jose Orozco. The mural is located on the back of Barrio Cafe on 16th St, part of the Calle 16 Mural Project. Artists involved inlcude Francisco “Enuf” Garcia, Sinek, Joseph “Sentrock” Perez, Angel Diaz, Srvnt, Averian Chee, Jeff Slim, Ser V One, Pruf, Keisr, Martin Moreno, Armando, Durok, and Detor.” -phxtaco

“SHU SHO” @ 1SPOT GALLERY

“A once in a blue moon” request. I was invited to participate in the grand opening of 1Spot Gallery on Roosevelt and 6th St. Phoenix, AZ. 1Spot’s opening show focused on design work on shoes by Ziindi Zine featured artists. The shoe display was surrounded by paintings created by 1Spot resident artist, Damian Jim. The show is the first of many this year.

Just as expected, the shoes were either too small or too big. During the Grand Opening as well as February’s First Friday opening, spectators were pleased to see the “playful intricate” line work in the heels and “cuteness” of the little dudes. There was many interested collectors but no buyers. So these shoes are still up for grabs, if you fit into 7 1/2 heels or know of a little person who will grow into a size 5. Commissions are always welcomed. Contact me at, theallelectrickitchen.tumblr.com

Stitching Different Styles Together

Lurking within the back alley of Barrio Cafe is a recently completed mural by a group of local artists. It’s an addition to the art that already surrounds the Barrio Cafe.

This last minute collaboration was coordinated by muralist/painter ENUF. The mural only took a few days and a dozen artists were invited to add their style to the wall. The mural is a mural of Mexican muralist. I was asked to paint Frida Kahlo above the letters of DUROK and flowers of SERV. It was a fun experience to work and meet new individuals. Cheers.
