FLOATING AND BUNNIN’ AT THE HEARD

A commission by the Heard Museum has helped me escape the hellish heat Phoenix has to offer. Hot Fun In A Cool Place is a summer program for the youth visiting the Heard Museum. I was asked to collaborate with local artist, Thomas “Breeze” Marcus (Tohono O’odham) to create an outline for the young visitors to color in. The project started a few weekends ago but it wasn’t until this past weekend the youth were allowed to fill in the outlined characters. Each Saturday, 10:30am - 3:30pm throughout July youth will be able to contribute to the mural. There is also short films screening during the day. For more information about the summer program, visit the Heard Museum’s website.
